Brazilian participation in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP-15)
For disclosure Brazil's institutional image on United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP-15), the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Science and Technology and National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES) will be present with a 192 m2 booth in the area leased to the delegations offices of the Conference.

Following summary of the presentations:
- Amazon Fund presentation and Brazil Carbon Index (BNDES) The Amazon Fund is aimed at raising donations for non-reimbursable investments in efforts to prevent, monitor and combat deforestation, as well as to promote the preservation and sustainable use of forests in the Amazon Biome. Index Carbon Brazil: the carbon content is proposed based on an existing market index that takes into account the emissions of greenhouse gases companies, trying to keep the same time, its performance close to the original content.
- Brazil waters: Lecture Social and Environmental – The lecture discusses the waters of Brazil and the world, presents the challenges of design, innovative technology and the analysis results, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility, using water rationally with collective thinking.
- Brazilian planted forests for the pulp and paper industry (Bracelpa) – Brazil has more than 50 years experience on eucalyptus and pinus planted forests for the pulp and paper industry. Bracelpa – Brazilian Pulp and Paper Association will present the contribution of the forests in absorbing carbon and providing friendly products for the daily life of people. During this seminar, the audience will have the opportunity to know not just the investments in research and new technologies, but also the role of the Brazilian Pulp and Paper Industry in promoting social, environmental and economic development.
- Bright Green Cities Connections (Eubra) - Presentation of cases of Brazilian cities that stand for innovation and effective measures that together reduce emissions. Cities building a Green Future: LED lighting and energy efficiency, bike lanes, electric cars, etc. Brazilian cities and the top sustainability (opportunities for COPA 2014); Brasília 50; Program FOREST MOBILE to the sustainable development of city, countryside and forests; universities combining actions and activities aimed at clean development in the 21st century.
- CDM Project Activity Restoration in native Forests and Protected Areas (Eletropaulo) - Presentation of projects being developed by AES Tiete River in the restoration of 12 hectares of PPAs, with the removal of about 5.4 million tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere .
- Media and Change (CEBDS) – The objective of this event is to discuss a global consensus to raise public awareness about the challenges of climate change. The Brazilian press has expanded the coverage of the climate change issue and needs to be more profound on the subject.
- Soy Moratorium: a successful initiative to reduce the deforestation of the Amazon (ABIOVE) - Presentation on the project Soy Moratorium aimed not to commercialize soybean areas deforested in the Amazon.
